Cement production for the month of September 2021 totaled 618 thousand pounds of 94lbs bags, a 5.7% increase when compared to august 2021 and a -33.5% drop compared to September 2021. Production of cement in 2021 has been below industry normal. In 2018 and 2019 production of cement bags were over 900 thousand bags, when comparing 2021 to 2019, production in -36% below. On the other hand, cement sales for the month of September 2021 totaled 1,250 thousand 94lbs bags, a -0.7% decrease compared to August 2021, and a -11.4% drop compared to September 2020.  

Year-to-Date cement production for 2021 has been 5,567 thousand bags, a significant decrease from 2020 at 8,304 thousand bags, and even more from 2019 at 9,302 thousand bags. While year-to-date cement sales for 2021 total 12,017 thousand, an increase from 2019 at 10,134 thousand bags, and 2020 at 9,968 thousand.

Production and sales had a constant movement which broke in august 2020 when sales continue to grow, and production plummeted. Sales remain above pre-pandemic standards while production dropped significantly.
