From January to November 2021 there have been 2.1 million arrivals (persons) in Lodgings endorsed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, double than the accumulated for the same period in 2020 (1 million). The local market has been 28.5% in 2021 while in 2020 for the same period it was 29.5%. In November the shift form inbound tourism is more denoted as it stands at 73% while in 2020 it was at 66%.  The average occupancy rate in 2021 from January to November is 63.6%, almost double than in 2020 (37%). In November the average occupancy stood at 62.8% while in 2020 was 37.8%. The room nights available in 2021 are more than in 2020, accumulated from January to November the rom nights available in 2021 were 4.3 million while there were 3.7 in 2020. The Average Daily rate has also increased from $146.7 to $189.9 or 29% in November. The average stay also increased from 2.5 to 2.7 in November. Accumulated in 2021 average daily rate is $187.51, 20% higher than in 2020.
